In the capital of the Kalarsky area, Chara, an infectious disease building with an area of over a thousand square meters has been opened. A modern health facility located next to the County Central Hospital is ready to receive patients.
On March 31, the new medical facility was examined by the head of the Kalarsky district Sergey Klimovich. The event was also attended by Yulia Shabala, Deputy General Director of Udokan Copper, and Yevgeny Zhuchkov, Director of External Relations of the company. Let us remind you that the design and construction of the new establishment of the Kalarskaya Central Regional Hospital was completely undertaken by the shareholders of the Udokan Copper company.
As Sergei Klimovich noted: “An impressive amount of work has been done at the site, including dismantling the old building of the infectious hospital, the vertical layout of the site, installing the foundation and erecting modular structures.” According to him, now there is a modern medical infrastructure in the region, which will ensure the possibility of high-quality treatment in the district without having to hospitalize patients into Chita medical institutions by means of air ambulances.
The modular building is divided into zones: an admission department with two examination rooms, 10 comfortable wards with separate entrances, and two intensive care wards. The hospital is fully equipped with modern equipment and furniture, as well as a laboratory for enzyme immunoassays for antibodies to coronavirus infection. In total, the infectious module received about 200 units of medical equipment and furniture.
Now the new hospital can treat 20 patients at the same time. A 9-room dormitory for medical personnel is also installed next to the new building, each apartment is equipped with furniture and household appliances.
