On New Year’s Eve, Minister of Health of the Territory Anna Shangina visited the new infectious diseases department of the central regional hospital under construction.
It should be reminded that the financing of the design and construction of the new facility was fully undertaken by “Udokan Copper” (Baikal Mining Company). The infectious module with a total area of 1200 square meters was built from prefabricated modular structures. The infectious diseases department is divided into zones: an admission department with two examination rooms, 10 well-equipped wards with separate entrances, two intensive care wards with modern equipment, and a PCR laboratory. The 24-hour hospital will be able to receive up to 20 patients. In addition, a 10-apartment residential building for medical personnel was built next to the new hospital building, which was also visited by the regional minister.
— The approximate deadline for the completion of construction work at the Central Regional Hospital is February 2021. I would like to note that the ready-made room for medical workers is very cozy, with modern furniture and appliances. A thorough approach to business is felt in everything. We are grateful for the fair share to the regional health sector of our partners. I know that earlier the Central District Hospital received medical equipment for the treatment of patients with pneumonia. The intensive care unit has been repaired and equipped with ventilators, personal protective equipment and much more were transferred, — commented Anna Shangina.
