A transformer with a capacity of 100 megawatts and weighing over 130 tons was delivered to the construction sites of the «Bluzhdaushchiy» substation from the Novaya Chara railway station on October 26, 2020, the BGK press service told «Severnaya Pravda».
Installation and assembly of power attachments on the delivered transformer will be completed within a month. In total, three transformers will operate at the site of the second power unit with a capacity of 146 megawatts — the «Bluzhdaushchiy» substation, which will fully provide the plant with electricity after its commissioning. — To date, the construction of the foundations for the equipment has been completed at the construction site, the installation of metal structures is in full swing. Portals of open switchgears for connecting cables to transformers have been assembled by 45%, the press service said.
At the construction site these days, the erection of supports and installation of a cable on the second line of a high-voltage transmission line (in a double-circuit design) is being completed on a section of 23 km from the 220 kV substation in Novaya Chara to the „Bluzhdaushchiy“ site. The work is planned to be fully completed by the end of November, the BGK explained.
